Desmond recently filmed the next series of Martin Scorcese’s THE SAINTS for Netflix. His other television credits include BAFTA-winning BBC series BLUE LIGHTS, DERRY GIRLS, BLOOD, VIKINGS and NORMAL PEOPLE, for which he received an IFTA nomination for Best Supporting Actor.
On stage, Desmond starred most recently in Mark O’Rowe’s REUNION, which had five star reviews across the board and enjoyed sold-out runs at the Galway International Arts Festival and The Gaiety Theatre. His other theatre credits include ONCE BEFORE I GO at the Gate Theatre, THE LIEUTENANT OF INISHMORE at the Gaiety Theatre, and DID YOU HEAR ABOUT THE IRISHMAN? at the Abbey Theatre.
Desmond’s will next be seen in Cary Fukunaga’s upcoming feature film, BLOOD ON SNOW. His other film credits include Tiina Lymi’s independent feature STORMSKERRY MAJA, THE LAST RIFLEMAN, in which he starred alongside Pierce Brosnan, IN THE LAND OF SAINTS AND SINNERS with Liam Neeson and Irish independent BARBER.
