Desmond is currently rehearsing for MERCURIAL, produced by Francesca Moody Productions, which will play in Edinburgh and Dublin. His other theatre credits include Mark O’Rowe’s REUNION, which enjoyed sold-out runs at the Galway International Arts Festival and in Dublin, ONCE BEFORE I GO at the Gate Theatre, THE LIEUTENANT OF INISHMORE at the Gaiety Theatre, and DID YOU HEAR ABOUT THE IRISHMAN? at the Abbey Theatre.
Desmond’s television credits include Martin Scorcese’s THE SAINTS for Netflix, BAFTA-winning BLUE LIGHTS for BBC, Channel 4’s DERRY GIRLS, BLOOD, VIKINGS, and the hit BBC adaptation of Sally Rooney’s NORMAL PEOPLE, for which he received an IFTA nomination for Best Supporting Actor.
On the big screen, Desmond will next be seen in Cary Fukanaga’s BLOOD ON SNOW, due for release next year. His other film credits include THE LAST RIFLEMAN, in which he starred alongside Pierce Brosnan, IN THE LAND OF SAINTS AND SINNERS with Liam Neeson and Irish independent BARBER.
