Desmond was seen most recently on screen in the hugely successful BBC series BLUE LIGHTS. His other television credits include DERRY GIRLS, BLOOD, VIKINGS and NORMAL PEOPLE, for which he received an IFTA nomination for Best Supporting Actor.
On stage, Desmond most recently starred in the Gaiety Theatre’s production of Mark O’Rowe’s REUNION. He has also had leading roles in ONCE BEFORE I GO at the Gate, THE LIEUTENANT OF INISHMORE at the Gaiety Theatre, and in DID YOU HEAR ABOUT THE IRISHMAN? at the Abbey Theatre.
Desmond has also had numerous important roles on the big screen, including but not limited to roles in Tiina Lymi’s independent feature, STORMSKERRY MAJA, THE LAST RIFLEMAN alongside Pierce Brosnan, IN THE LAND OF SAINTS AND SINNERS alongside Liam Neeson and the Irish independent film BARBER.
